Code Of ConductWinter Park FC takes pride in their player and parent education both on and off the field. It is extremely vital that parents understand the importance of their conduct on the sidelines during training and games and how that can impact their players development and overall experience.
Sideline Conduct
Parents are expected to adhere to their signed contract upon registration stating that there is to be no coaching from the sideline and to be respectful to Coaches, players, officials and opposition. Failure to do so can and will lead to removal from the club.
WPFC is authorized to demand that a player, parent/guardian, or family member leave a
practice, game, event or the club entirely at any point as a result of a breach of contract,
failure to timely pay dues and remedy delinquencies, failure to abide by the club rules and
code of conduct or undertaking any behavior towards staff that is deemed inappropriate,
unwanted, aggressive, threatening or otherwise contrary, disrespectful or challenging towards
any coach, instructor, referee or staff member of WPFC or any other affiliated organization or
club throughout the season that WPFC interacts with or plays against.
Communication
Parents are required to wait a 24 hour period after a game before contacting the coach or club to discuss the game in question. Parents are also required to communicate with the coach privately, either via conversation or email. We ask that frustrations are not voiced on any public team platform ie TeamSnap, TeamChat etc.
We always want parents to be involved within their child development journey. Our Directors have an open door policy to ensure that voices are heard. We value feedback but all communication has to remain respectful between parties.
Conduct towards Officials
It is with the upmost importance that players, coaches and parents remain respectful towards officials at all times. Officials, just like players will make or may have perceived to have made an incorrect decision. This will not excuse any behavior that goes against our conduct policy. Please understand that without these part time officials, leagues, tournaments and games in general would not take place.
“WPFC is a Club that has guided my child from being a young recreational player to now competing against the top teams in the State of Florida. At WPFC my child is not just a number, but part of a soccer family who cares about the growth and development both mentally and physically in the game.”
